Tout commence par un duo piano/contrebasse imaginé par Mario et Michel… Un rendez-vous infaillible tous les mercredis à 19h autour des standards de jazz, de musiques caribéennes et latines. La formule peut sembler banale mais le pari est risqué ! C’était il y a 14 ans et la magie opère toujours. Il faut dire que la stature de Michel Zenino avec sa contrebasse impressionne, il plaisante avec son instrument et jamais ne sourcille. Mario Canonge est le « cool cat » par excellence : son jeu, sa vélocité et son allure sont de renom. Presque sans se parler, l’un joue quelques notes, l’autre acquiesce et l’accompagne.
