Olga Amelchenko was born in 1988 in Russia. She started singing in choir at the age of 5, played piano and Dombra, studied choir conducting, then switched to saxophone. In 2006, Olga moved to Novosibirsk, where she studied jazz at the College of music. In 2012, she moved to Cologne (Germany) where she studied for two years at the Hochschule for Musik und Tanz with Wolfgang Engstfeld. In 2018 she attended Jazz Institut Berlin and became involved in european jazz scene. Now living in Paris, she began to combine musical collaborations and her personal projects. Née en 1988 en Sibérie (Russie), Olga Amelchenko est passée de la maîtrise chorale au jazz, fréquentant les meilleures écoles, de Novosibirsk à Berlin. Constitué à l'automne 2019, juste après l'arrivée d’Olga Amelchenko à Paris. son nouveau quartet est une déclinaison de son groupe berlinois. Il est formé de musiciens reconnus de la scène parisienne: Tony Tixier, Viktor Nyberg, Nicolas Charlier. Ensemble; ils se jouent des barrières et des étiquettes pour proposer un univers musical fort et flexible. Un jazz européen à multiples facettes, dont les compositions s’inspirent principalement de la scène américaine.
