Following a pivotal encounter at the Centre des Musiques Didier Lockwood in 2020, the Quartz trio was born from the alchemy between Jean on piano, Simon on double bass and Guillaume on drums.Together, they have forged a unique musical path, exploring the boundaries between classical music and jazz. With diverse backgrounds, this trio shares many common influences, including Keith Jarrett, Brad Mehldau, Avishai Cohen and even Johann Sebastian Bach. Suite à une rencontre marquante au Centre des Musiques Didier Lockwood en 2020 le trio Quartz est né de l'alchimie entre Jean au piano, Simon à la contrebasse et Guillaume à la batterie.Ensemble, ils ont tracé un chemin musical unique, explorant les frontières entre la musique classique et le jazz. D'horizons divers, ce trio partage pourtant de nombreuses influences communes telles que Keith Jarrett, Brad Mehldau, Avishai Cohen ou même Jean-Sébastien Bach. Il en émerge un jazz qui expérimente et interpelle, tant par sa variété que par son écriture soignée.
