A virtuoso trumpeter and inspired composer, he has developed a unique language in which Afro-Cuban heritage interacts with the most contemporary aesthetics of jazz. Recently arrived in Paris, he has already made a strong impression, bringing striking energy and a sound of rare intensity to the capital's stages.A collaborator with greats such as Benny Golson, David Murray, Lewis Nash, and Roy Hargrove, Jorge Vistel has created a body of work that is both rooted in his roots and focused on the future. A student of Steve Coleman, brought to prominence by Greg Osby, he embodies this generation of Cuban musicians for whom the island's rhythmic traditions have become the breeding ground for innovative musical explorations.Each concert during this residency is a creation in itself, with Jorge Vistel presenting original works, specially composed for the occasion, giving each performance a unique identity and a renewed sense of freshness.Dedicated to supporting emerging artists, our Club offers a series of bimonthly residencies (one concert every two months) that allow them to propose a creative project and develop it in an environment conducive to creativity. Arrivé récemment à Paris, il y fait déjà forte impression, distillant sur les scènes de la capitale une énergie saisissante et un son d’une rare intensité.Collaborateur de grands noms tels que Benny Golson, David Murray, Lewis Nash ou Roy Hargrove, Jorge Vistel tisse une œuvre à la fois ancrée dans ses racines et tournée vers l’avenir. Élève de Steve Coleman, révélé par Greg Osby, il incarne cette génération de musiciens cubains pour qui les traditions rythmiques de l’île deviennent le terreau d’explorations musicales novatrices. Chaque concert de cette résidence est une création en soi, Jorge Vistel y présente des œuvres originales, spécialement composées pour l’occasion, donnant à chaque performance une identité singulière et une fraîcheur renouvelée. Décidé à soutenir des artistes en devenir, notre Club propose une série de résidences bimestrielles (1 concert tous les deux mois) qui leur permet de proposer un projet créatif et de le développer dans un environnement propice à la création. Un accès aux équipements de notre salle, tels que les enregistrements vidéo, audio, le travail des lumières et du son et la mise à disposition de la salle avec un ingénieur son 1 fois par mois en journée.
