Born in 1970, Sébastien Grenier discovered piano when he was 11. He then studied music theory, writing and harmonic analysis at the Evreux Conservatory, in Normandie. In 1989, he entered the Bercovitz Music School where he graduated in piano, harmony and arrangement. Then, he took Joe Makholm’s courses in jazz piano for several years. Passionate about movie scores, he joined the Berklee Online courses « Composition Film and TV » and « Improvisation Course of Gary Burton » for which he obtained « A » grades. Pianist, composer and holder of a state diploma in jazz piano, he currently teaches at « Music All School », which he co-founded in 2001. He also often performs in some famous Parisian hotels. 2021 is the year of the release of his first quartet album, OPEN-HEARTED, recorded with bassist Jacques Vidal, trombonist Daniel Zimmermann and drummer Gérald Portocallis....

Né en 1970, Sébastien Grenier découvre le piano à l’âge de 11 ans et étudiera ensuite le solfège, l’écriture et l’analyse harmonique au conservatoire d’Evreux. En 1989, il intègre la Bercovitz Music School d’où il sort diplômé en piano, harmonie et arrangement, puis suivra durant plusieurs années les cours de Joe Makholm en piano jazz. Passionné de musique de film, il obtiendra le grade « A » au cours de « Composition film and TV » de Berklee Online ainsi qu’au cours d’improvisation de Gary Burton. Pianiste, compositeur et titulaire d’un D.E de piano jazz, il enseigne actuellement au sein de Music All School, l’école de musique qu’il a cofondée en 2001. Il se produit également dans de grands hôtels parisiens en solo ou en trio. 2021 voit la sortie de son premier album, OPEN-HEARTED, en quartet avec le contrebassiste Jacques Vidal, le tromboniste Daniel Zimmermann et le batteur Gérald Portocallis.
