On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of its birth, the concert is conceived as a long-awaited and indispensable tribute. Christophe Chassol, a singular and talented artist, will be the master of ceremonies for this musical tribute mixing several generations of ultramarine musicians influenced by his heritage (Yusan, Mario Canonge, Gregory Privat, Maher Beauroy…) from mainland France and especially from the West Indies for the occasion.

On the program: new arrangements of the pianist’s work (orchestra, electronic music), video clips, archives, music performances with the image of which only Christophe Chassol has the secret.

Hommage au pionnier du jazz caribéen, Marius Cultier, mettant à l’honneur la nouvelle scène jazz caribéenne qui puise dans son héritage immense.


A l’occasion des 80 ans de sa naissance, le concert est conçu comme un hommage longtemps attendu et indispensable. Christophe Chassol, artiste singulier et talentueux, sera le maître de cérémonie de cet hommage musical mélangeant plusieurs générations de musiciens ultramarins influencés par son héritage (Yusan, Mario Canonge, Gregory Privat, Maher Beauroy…) venus de métropole mais aussi spécialement des Antilles pour l’occasion.

Au programme : de nouveaux arrangements de l’œuvre du pianiste (orchestre, musique électronique), des extraits vidéos, des archives, des performances de musique à l’image dont seul Christophe Chassol a le secret.
