The one who covers the world's great standards like no one else (from David Bowie to Neil Young, Eurythmics and Michael Jackson)? In her new album, Step Out " Step Out ", the singer-songwriter and guitarist from Quebec draws her inspiration from the soul, R'N'B and funk of the Motown years that rocked her in her youth. Terez Montcalm, c'est d'abord une voix inimitable qui nous chavire des deux côtés de l'Atlantique ! Avec sa voix chaude, rauque, fragile et sensuelle, Térez façonne des mélodies venues de tous les genres pour en faire un jazz bien à elle, un univers singulier. Dans « son nouvel album « Step Out  « Step Out », la chanteuse-Auteure-compositrice et guitariste d'origine québéquoise puise cette fois son inspiration dans les titres soul, R'N'B et funk des années Motown qui ont bercé ses jeunes années. Une brillante relecture, majoritairement en anglais, pour laquelle elle a eu la bonne idée d'enrichir sa « gang » avec de talentueux compagnons de route : le guitariste Jean Marie Ecay, complice de longue date, le bassiste Laurent Vernerey et le batteur Nicolas Viccaro.
