Le projet « Walking Towards The Unknown » a été créé en 2011, à New York par le batteur et compositeur Thomas Galliano, afin de réunir dans une seule musique des caractéristiques propres à l'improvisation, et de permettre à chaque musicien de s’exprimer.Thomas tire son inspiration de son vécu d’homme et d’artiste, en y intégrant de nombreuses influences, essayant de créer des compositions ancrées dans le réel et fortes d’un métissage rythmique.Il essaie d'exprimer à travers ce titre Walking Towards The Unknown (qui veut dire la marche vers l’inconnu) le sentiment que peut avoir un homme en quête d’une évolution, un défi dans la vie, l'exaltation de franchir des limites.
