Through this new project, she reconnects with her roots and, above all, her mother tongue through song, reinterpreting old âSĂ©gaâ songs that rocked her childhood, but also by introducing us to her compositions, co-written with the talented Flo Vincenot, a Guadeloupean pianist. She also sought elsewhere in ClĂ©ment Belmonte, a Guadeloupean trumpeter, and Yannick Lavary, who, like her, represents Reunion Island. Artists rooted in their culture and eager to serve delicate, touching, danceable, and falsely naive music. It is therefore the freedom to be oneself that is defended in TĂšr laba, the right to be multiple, the right to be from here, and elsewhere...Singer, pianist, bassist, composer, ValĂ©rie Chane is a multi-instrumentalist, quickly recognized as a dazzling Creole jazz pianist and a key figure in contemporary Creole jazz music. She released two albums on the Aztec Musiques label (the Malavoi group's label): Muzik pou lo KĂšr and Nout Souk, both playlisted on RFi, FIP, France Inter, France Musique, and France Outre-mer.
