A protégé of the late Jackie McLean, Wayne Escoffery is one of the greatest contemporary tenor saxophonists. Sideman for Eric Reed, member of The Mingus Big Band with whom he won a Grammy Award in 2011 and saxophonist of the group Jazz At Lincoln Center's Music of the Masters, he is currently a member of The Tom Harrell Quintet and has been since 2006. At only 42 he has recorded eight CDs as a leader and been on numerous recordings as a sideman. On our stage with his quartet, his virtuosity and energy are the promises of two amazing nights !
