Galawesh & Friends at Le Melville

For as long as we can remember Galawesh has been singing. A trendy tune, something from the radio, but mostly the words or sounds that were on her mind. She tried to fit this in with her conservatory training, but was mostly influenced by some powerful women: Björk, Leïla Martial... Galawesh found in jazz the codes of improvisation and continues her way by living strong emotional stage experiences, alongside musicians of the young Parisian jazz scene. This Friday, Galawesh is accompanied by Square Noon and takes us to R&B and soul music. Square Noon is Alexandre Lombard-Buffet, Axel Allright and Arthur Cayuelas, who vitalize their music as in the early days of jazz. D’aussi loin qu’on se souvienne Galawesh chantait. Un air à la mode, un truc de la radio, mais surtout les mots ou les sonorités qui lui passaient pas la tête. Elle a bien essayé de cadrer cela avec une formation au conservatoire, mais reste surtout influencée par quelques femmes puissantes : Björk, Leïla Martial… Galawesh a trouvé dans le jazz les codes de l’improvisation et continue sa voie en vivant des expériences scéniques fortes en émotions, aux côtés des musiciens de la jeune scène jazz parisienne. Ce vendredi,  Galawesh est accompagnée par Square Noon et nous entraîne  vers le R&B et la soul music. Square Noon, c’est Alexandre Lombard-Buffet (Piano), Axel Allright (Batterie) et Arthur Cayuelas (basse), qui vitalisent leur musique comme aux premières heures du jazz. La joie communicative de ces quatre amis fait toujours vibrer le Melville !
