Originally from Naples, Katia Schiavone moved to Paris in 2016 to pursue her musical studies in jazz guitar and double bass. In the Parisian city she regularly performs as a guitarist for several projects by French artists, but also manages her own groups, such as trio, quartet or quintet. In 2020 she made her encounter with gypsy jazz, joining guitarist Noé Reinhardt's trio, with whom she recorded an album in 2021.Katia develops her musical taste around traditional American jazz, as well as Brazilian and Neapolitan songs, creating a mix of swing, Mediterranean melodies and blues. The music of her groups is both inspired by New York jazz, with pieces by composers such as Wes Montgomery, Grant Green, Cedar Walton and Duke Pearson, and by the colors and sounds of Italian music, with very pleasant melodies and almost exotic tones, as in the case of the original pieces that will be presented this evening....

Originaire de Naples, Katia Schiavone s'installe à Paris en 2016 pour poursuivre ses études musicales en guitare jazz et contrebasse. Dans la ville parisienne elle se produits régulièrement en tant que guitariste pour plusieurs projets d'artistes français, mais elle gère aussi ses propres groupes, comme le trio, le quartet ou le quintet. En 2020 elle fait sa rencontre avec le jazz manouche, en rejoignant le trio du guitariste Noé Reinhardt avec lequel elle enregistre un album en 2021.Katia développe son goût musical autour du jazz américain de la tradition, ainsi que des chansons brésiliennes et napolitaines, en créant un mixte de swing, de mélodies méditerranéennes et de blues.
