With this new project, Mathis Haug & Benoit Nogaret revisit in the studio the universe of Doc Watson, a legendary musician from North Carolina who died in 2012. A tribute E.P to this musician too little known on this side of the Atlantic ... Guitarist, singer, producer, Mathis Haug is present on the European scenes for over 20 years. He has recorded 5 solo albums for the Dixiefrog and Nueva Onda labels as well as a self-produced EP in Memphis. He has collaborated with artists such as Oum, Pura Fé, JJ Milteau, Eric Bibb, Big Daddy Wilson as a composer, musician and producer... He discovered Doc Watson at the age of 15, through the learning of " Finger Picking " and the book " La Guitare à Dadi " he then decided to tackle the famous " Deep River Blues ", masterpiece of Doc's career. Benoit Nogaret is a guitarist who has been influenced by American music since he was very young. Coming from a family of musicians, he learns the guitar encouraged by his father, and becomes thanks to his unique phrasing a very coveted musician on stage or in studio. Avec ce nouveau projet, Mathis Haug & Benoit Nogaret revisitent en studio l'univers de Doc Watson, musicien légendaire à la production foisonnante originaire de Caroline du Nord, et décédé en 2012. Un E.P hommage à ce musicien trop peu connu de ce côté de l'Atlantique…Guitariste, chanteur, réalisateur, Mathis Haug est présent sur les scènes européennes depuis plus de 20 ans. Il a enregistré 5 albums solo pour les labels Dixiefrog et Nueva Onda ainsi qu'un E.P auto-produit à Memphis. Il a collaboré avec des artistes comme Oum, Pura Fé, JJ Milteau, Eric Bibb, Big Daddy Wilson comme compositeur, musicien et réalisateur… Il découvre Doc Watson à l'âge de 15 ans, à travers l'apprentissage du « Finger Picking » et le livre « La Guitare à Dadi » il décide alors de s'attaquer au fameux « Deep River Blues », pièce maitresse de la carrière de Doc. Benoit Nogaret est un guitariste influencé par les musiques américaines depuis son plus jeune âge.
