Since it’s inception in 1983, WAYJO has supported these dreams, by nurturing the next generation of outstanding young jazz musicians by offering a professional and structured framework to develop members’ playing and performance skills.

With the opportunity to be included in three ensembles, The Composers Ensemble, the Big Band, & the Swing Band there is platform for all youth aged between 14-25 to engage with WAYJO.

To extend their Jazz education we offer exchanges with the University of Graz, Austria and the SHOWA University of Music, Japan, where WAYJO members can collaborate with international aspiring artists through performance, composition and improvisation.
