A Tel Aviv native, Noam came to the States with a scholarship to Berklee, where he graduated magna cum laude. Since then, he’s been making his name in New York playing with the likes of Antonio Sanchez, Ari Hoenig, Billy Hart, Jeff “Tain” Watts, Gilad Hekselman, Lage Lund, Jonathan Kreisberg, Seamus Blake, Will Vinson, Dave Liebman, Aaron Goldberg, Uri Cane and Matisyahu, to name names. Philip Dizack teaches jazz trumpet at the University of North Texas. He has released 3 albums as leader. He has performed with Bobby Watson, Eddie Palmieri, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Jimmy Cobb, Kendrick Scott, Eric Harland, Aaron Parks, Greg Hutchinson, Ben Wendel, Gilad Hekselman, Justin Brown, Sullivan Fortner, The Village Vanguard Orchestra, Wycliffe Gordon, Billy Childs, Nicholas Payton, Thundercat, Jon Batiste, Kamasi Washington, Morrissey, Melissa Aldana, Ben Van Gelder and Dayna Stephens.
Immanuel Wilkins memorably led his own quartet here @exuberance a year ago. One of Philadelphia’s favorite sons, Immanuel has performed with Jason Moran, the Count Basie Orchestra, Delfeayo Marsalis, Aaron Parks, Gerald Clayton, Gretchen Parlato, Lalah Hathaway, Solange Knowles, Bob Dylan and Wynton Marsalis—among others.
Shai Maestro held the piano chair for Avishai Cohen’s trio, producing four albums. In 2010, he formed his own trio and has recorded five albums, the last on the ECM label.
Kush Abadey played here back in 2016 with Victor Provost and appears here with pianist Dave Meder on August 2. He joined the Wallace Roney Quintet when he was 16. Since then, he has played with Ravi Coltrane, Chris Potter, Nicholas Payton, JD Allen, David Weiss, Andrew White, Gilad Hekselman, Azar Lawrence, Terrance Blanchard, Frank Lacy, Jeremy Pelt, Tomasz Stanko, Barry Harris, Gary Thomas, Jared Gold, George Colligan, Dave Stryker, Josh Evans and David Gibson among others.
