Most people are unaware of Chet Baker’s late career in Europe, particularly from 1979 to his death in May of 1988. He recorded with the best musicians on the European continent as well as leading American jazz musicians on tour there. He was fully booked on concert tours and recorded almost an album a month by the time of his death. This concert focuses on his repertoire during that period and, hopefully, will dispel some of the negative myths surrounding his career.
