About the band:
Led by the former USAF Band Airmen of Note lead trumpeter, the Bruce Gates Jazz Consortium Big Band is a hand picked, 16 piece ensemble of the "creme'-de-la-creme'" of the Valley's music scene. With an emphasis on top shelf musicianship, the band eschews the typical "stock" charts heard so often in favor of custom, forward-looking arrangements of standards and jazz classics, and rare, historically significant, seldom heard big band classics....
