Catch a Rising Star at The Nash

The "Catch a Rising Star" series is a summer concert program featuring performances by young artists based in Arizona. Curated by The Nash, the series provides a platform for emerging artists to gain prominence in the jazz community. The 2013 series features headliners of ages 12-26. The series is also very much an educational program with all "Rising Stars" provided a free clinic by an experienced local jazz educator in advance of performing at the Nash.

Recent graduates of Cactus Shadows High School and current participants in the jazz programs in both Scottsdale and Paradise Valley Community Colleges, Noah Simpson, Chris Light, and Reid Riddiough are up-and-coming musicians in the greater Phoenix area, of whom to take note.
