East Valley Jazz Cooperative Indigo Big Band at The Nash

3:00 PM - 5:00 PM; The East Valley Jazz Cooperative Indigo Big Band, a 19-piece ensemble comprised of outstanding students in grades 8 through 12, will perform a matinee concert featuring works by notable big band writers including Gil Evans and Thad Jones. The VJC is directed by Russell Schmidt. Before the big band takes the stage, select students from the program will be featured in combo performances as part of the third annual VJC Senior Showcase. Graduating VJC students will have an opportunity to play alongside professional jazz artists as they perform favorite standards. Please join us for an afternoon of great music from the Valley Jazz Cooperative! Tickets $15, $5 Students (25 & under w/ ID)
