Weaving Latin American music with literature, violinist Francesca Anderegg and Venezuelan-American composer Reinaldo Moya explore the inspirations of contemporary Latin American music. This beautiful blend of words and music alternates excerpts from Latin American literature in Spanish and English with music by Latin American composers that were inspired by literary ideas, forms and structures. Moya narrates the program, linking the music with readings from Pablo Neruda, Jorge Luis Borges, Gabriel García Márquez and more. Amazing intersections are unveiled and created through the musical experience of hearing the literature in the original Spanish with its English translation.
