Collin Shook, at 24, is a Tucson area jazz pianist, bassist, teacher and composer. Collin began playing the piano at the age of 3 1/2 and studied music throughout his life, dabbling in many different instruments along the way. Collin began performing professionally at the age of 16.

Following high school, he pursued music in Austin, TX where he was influenced by the vast music scene and quality of live music. Since moving to Arizona in 2008, Collin has performed with his trio, playing his original music while also staying true to the traditions of jazz. Collin received the "Best Keyboardist" award from the Tucson TAMMIES (Local Music Awards) in 2012, and two of his bands (Collin Shook Trio and Black Jackalope Ensemble) placed in 2nd and 3rd place in the "Jazz Band" category.
