Holly Pyle is a graduate of NAU's jazz studies program under Joel DiBartolo and Russell Schmidt. This concert will showcase Holly's latest project with Shea Marshall, p., Bob Lashier, b., and Emerson Laffey, d.. The freewheeling, rollicking quartet careens between meters, textures, and rhythmic and harmonic structures, aiming to bridge classic and modern genres in the spirit of collaborative improvisation. This concert promises to be an engaging blend of playfulness and intensity with a few unexpected twists.
