Fellow Chicagoan and husband Greg Fishman began playing clarinet at the age of 12, tenor saxophone at 13, and by the age of 15 he was working professionally around Chicago. Fishman has performed with The Woody Herman Big Band, The Louie Bellson Big Band, Slide Hampton, Marian McPartland, Conte Candoli, Ira Sullivan, Clark Terry, Don Menza and many more. He has been playing and recording with Judy Roberts since 1995 from Chicago to Singapore, as well as with guitarist/vocalist Paulinho Garcia in Two For Brazil. Fishman has his master’s in Jazz Music Pedagogy from Northwestern University and has authored numerous highly respected jazz books that are ubiquitous among students and educators. Fishman teaches students worldwide via Skype. Greg is also a leading authority on his mentor, Stan Getz, which has an unmistakable influence on his melodic sound.
