Doublers Collective was founded in 2010 by Monica Shriver as an ensemble that would perform on multiple woodwind instruments in a progressive jazz setting. The mission of Doublers Collective focuses on performance clinics and community outreach. It also provides for collaboration with some of the best jazz composers in the world today in order to create a repertoire for this unique instrumentation. Doublers Collective has already commissioned new works from some of the world’s top jazz composers, including Mike Crotty, Alan Baylock and Michael Abene.
