Vocalist Melanie Chryshelle is prepared to delight, excite and ignite the audience in her debut vocal showcase at The Nash.  Featuring a trio led by club namesake, drummer Lewis Nash, Chryshelle will perform a wide-ranging repertoire from classic jazz standards such as Someone To Watch Over Me and Teach Me Tonight, to songs with a more contemporary r&b and pop flavor.  Her vocal style has been influenced by Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Nancy Wilson, Randy Crawford, Roberta Flack, Natalie Cole and Minnie Ripperton.  She has studied with Phoenix piano legend Charles Lewis, as well as former Count Basie Orchestra vocalist Dennis Rowland.  Melanie believes that her true calling is to uplift, motivate and inspire others, and she is excited to be able to do so through the vehicle of songs and the stories they tell.
