Blending elements of latin jazz, afro-antillean rhythms, and contemporary instrumental music, the trio celebrates music from Eckrothโs previous albums as well as introducing music from an upcoming album soon to be released on the TRCC record label. With Puerto Rico native Joel Mateo on the drums and Cuban-born Raul Reyes Bueno on the bass, Eckroth (a Phoenix native) explores disparate and surprising trends in Latin jazz music.
