Please join us in celebrating the debut album release of Phoenix based contemporary jazz trio Mothra is Back. Mothra is Back is a trio of musicians dedicated to the performance of avant-garde music. Formed in 2014, this adventurous trio has been experimenting with music borrowed from and inspired by jazz traditions, free improvisation, and the contemporary classical aesthetic. Each member of Mothra is Back contributes creative and musical ideas on how these idioms interact, resulting in a well-balanced presentation of both a deeply personal yet well informed sound.
