‘American Jazz Timeline’ live revue
Beginning at 12:00 pm on Saturday, June 13 a host of professional and renowned artists will perform representing the evolving styles of Jazz History from mid-19th century to current creations. The acts will begin with the popular Phoenix African Drum & Dance Troupe ‘Omowale Kawambe’ followed by the ‘Peculiar People Community Choir’. The timeline revue will proceed all the way into the second day with renowned Be-Bop pianist ‘Harold Land Jr. (son of legendary saxophonist, the late Harold Land) and beyond with the jazz-fusion trio ‘Impact’. The timeline performances will be accompanied by historical narrative defining the different evolutionary styles of the periods....
