Originally from Phoenix, Chris Finet is the Professor of String Bass and Jazz Studies at Northern Arizona University. In addition to his work as an educator Chris maintains a busy performance schedule throughout Arizona and nationally. He holds degrees in music performance from Northern Arizona University and the Manhattan School of Music. Having lived in New York City for a number of years, Chris has worked with many internationally recognized jazz artists including Dave Douglas, Roy Hargrove, Dave Liebman, Flora Purim, and Jimmy Cobb among others. Ryan Stigmon is a gifted young saxophonist from Flagstaff, currently studying with Chris at NAU.
