Saxophonist Tim Berne, a prolific performer, composer, and recording artist, brings his Snakeoil quartet to The Nash, featuring heavyweights of New York's creative music scene, including clarinetist Oscar Noriega, pianist Matt Mitchell, and drummer/percussionist Ches Smith. This group, which has recorded on the ECM label, has been lauded for its "carefully shifting balance of finely wrought composition and open improvisation" (JazzTimes).
