7:30pm – 10:00pm. The South Mountain Latin Jazz Band, under the direction of Eddie Gaona, focuses on playing the exciting rhythms of Latin fused with Jazz. The two most influential mixers are Afro-Cuban and Brazilian music. This combined with Jazz comes across as passionate, intense, powerful and exciting! Eddie Gaona has been a music educator for over 35 years, a professional trumpet player, an arranger and the leader of a Latin band.
