With Puerto Rican musicians bassist Alex “Apolo” Ayala and drummer Joel Mateo, Eckroth’s newest trio explores the outer edges of jazz, latin jazz, Cuban and Puerto Rican music. Featured on Eckroth’s recent album Piano and Rhythm, the trio will be performing compositions from that album as well as a mixture of known music and new compositions. 602-795-0464; www.thenash.org
