Come hear the refreshing, delightful sound of an ensemble of various types of flutes, creating an alluring harmony with a jazz groove! The Japan Jazz Flute Big Band (JJFBB) is back in the U.S. for the second time since its Washington DC/ New York tour in 2018, to perform at the 2023 National Flute Association Convention in Phoenix as a featured ensemble group. The JJFBB, the very first jazz flute big band in Japan, was founded by Yuko Hoshi in 2015. The immense support by Ali Ryerson, the legendary jazz flutist and the original creator of the jazz flute big band in the U.S., was a blessing upon the bandʼs launch.
