Hailing from Durham, NC and beginning his musical career in the mentorship rich areas of Atlanta, GA and Tallahassee, FL, Will Goble is steadily carving out a unique space for himself as a bassist, bandleader, and educator. His first album as a leader, Some Stories Tells No Lies (2012), features his own trio (drummer Dave Potter and Pianist Austin Johnson) joined by trumpeter Marcus Printup and saxophonist Chad Eby. His second album, “Consider The Blues” will be released in 2016. Currently based in Phoenix, AZ, Will tours and records with the Jason Marsalis Vibes Quartet as a member since 2008. Along with Marsalis, Will has performed with Marcus Roberts, Marcus and Joan Belgrave, George Colligan, Wessell Anderson, Martin Bejerano, Eric Reed, Gregory Tardy, Lew Soloff, Etienne Charles, Fred Wesley, and many others.
