The Grand Canyon University Thunder Big Band and Young Sounds of Arizona 6:00 Combo share The Nash stage for a night of jazz. Join director Andy Gross as he leads both ensembles through modern repertoire and some old favorites.
The GCU Thunder Big Band is comprised of music majors, minors and students from other disciplines. Musicians are provided an opportunity to increase their performance skills through an active and challenging involvement with the creative process.

Sponsored by the Professional Musicians of Arizona, Local 586 of the American Federation of Musicians, Young Sounds members are chosen by audition of middle-school and high school age students each year.
