Two Shows: 7:00 & 9:15. “The most lyrical piano player of our time.” – Jazz Weekly
NEA Jazz Master, Kenny Barron, will perform with his all-star Platinum Trio: Kenny Barron-piano, George Mraz-bass and Lewis Nash-drums. All three of these musicians have played extensively with Dizzy Gillespie, Stan Getz and a long list of the who’s who of jazz giants. Collectively, they have played on well over 1,000 recordings. The Kenny Barron Platinum Trio was formed at The North Sea Festival in 2013 to celebrate Barron’s 70th Birthday, this appearance at The Nash will be a rare opportunity to hear this magical group perform.
