7:30pm – 10:00pm. Scott Sadlon-drums/bandleader, Frank Smith-sax/flute, Yannis Goudelis-piano, Eric Bart-guitar, Dwight Kilian-bass, Joe Garcia-percussion. Drumming and Dentistry don’t normally have anything to do with each other. But for Scott Sadlon, it makes perfect sense. For the last twenty years or so, Scott has been pursuing both his vocation as a dentist, and his avocation as a musician. Since moving to Phoenix in 2005, he has found a way to balance his professional life with his passion for the drums and for jazz. He maintains a general and cosmetic dental practice in Old Town Scottsdale, and also performs with groups of top notch local jazz musicians, occasionally as a band leader, or as a sideman as well. His latest recording ” Avocation Vol. 1″ finds him interpreting jazz standards in a latin style with local greats Yanni Goudelis, Frank Smith, Eric Bart, Bob Lashier and Joe Garcia.
