Featuring The Crotty and O’Neill Sextet, with Mike Crotty-saxophones, flutes and trumpet, Deater O’Neill-vocals, Beth Lederman-piano, Mike King-bass, Emerson Laffey-drums, Joe Garcia-percussion. Musicians and audiences alike have embraced Latin rhythms in jazz since the early 20th century. By incorporating them into their music, jazz musicians expanded the diverse “American” popular songbook. Please join the Crotty & O’Neill Sextet in a musical evening taken from the likes of composers Ivan Lins, Herbie Hancock, Tom Jobim, Stevie Wonder, Claire Fischer, Dizzy Gillespie and Duke Ellington, plus originals composed by Crotty, O’Neill and Lederman.
