Fulton grew up around jazz. Her father ran the Clark Terry Summer Jazz Workshop. She was surrounded by music and hung out with legendary players within Clark Terry’s circle.

Fulton grew up around jazz. Her father ran the Clark Terry Summer Jazz Workshop. She was surrounded by music and hung out with legendary players within Clark Terry’s circle.

As a young girl, she learned repertoire and performed with Louis Hayes, Lou Donaldson, Frank Wess, but it was Clark Terry who mentored her in the art of performance and music business.

She’s released nine records as leader and played festivals and venues worldwide, including a two-year residency at New York’s Birdland.

Fulton is a master of the familiar and obscure repertoire from the Great American Songbook.
