Eugene Uman, artistic director of the Vermont Jazz Center since 1997, performs his original compositions with a stellar sextet. Expect a melding of Afro-Cuban & Colombian rhythms, modal and traditional jazz and beyond into dynamic music ranging from driving rhythmic waves to meditative soundscapes.
