In the old city you could hear music from many lands, evoking the past and becoming something new. Julian's new suite of songs celebrates this enduring transformation, with jazz wedded to musical styles from Athens, Istanbul, Havana, Fort-de-France and the streets of San Francisco. The Sextet (clarinet, trumpet, piano, bass, drums, percussion) is supplemented with sax, trombone and flute.
