Vermont Jazz Center Spring Semester 2023

The Vermont Jazz Center will host a session of classes starting in mid-February, 2023. Most sessions are 10 weeks long and begin the week of February 12th. To register contact Ginger at ginger@vtjazz.org.

Join a combo or chorus and get involved with performing while being guided by one of the VJC's professional faculty members. If you've never improvised, that's no problem. There are opportunities for all, including for classical musicians intrigued by jazz's structure and improvisational opportunities.

On Sunday, April 30th, 2023, we will join educational and concert venues in 190 countries around the world in celebrating International Jazz Day by presenting our end-of-semester concert at 2:00 pm. We will be “promoting Jazz Day's universal message of peace, respect, and dialogue.” The concert will take place at the Center’s performance space at Cotton Mill Hill in Brattleboro, VT.

Sessions are 10 weeks long, excepting the Youth Jazz Ensemble which meets for 8 sessions, the Soubrette Jazz Choir which meets for 12 sessions and the Samba Percussion Ensemble which meets for 6 sessions. Details below.
