Kuba Banaszek Quartet
The band was founded on the initiative of the pianist Kuba Banaszek, a graduate of the Music Academy in Krakow. The quartet made its debut in 2018 winning the main prize at the 21st Review of the Young Jazz & Blues Bands at the Gdynia Sax Club. At the same competition, the team leader - Kuba Banaszek - received an individual award. In 2018-2020, the band won several international and nationwide competitions: Grand Prix of the Jazz Individuality Competition as part of the 55th “Jazz nad Odrą” Festival, 2nd prize at the RCK Pro Jazz Festival competition in Kołobrzeg 1st prize at the V Blue Note Poznań Competition, 2nd prize at the Jazz Juniors Competition in Cracow. ...
