Billy Mintz Quartet at Michelle's Piano And Organ Co.

The Portland jazz community has come together to present a new outlet for creative music. On November 15th, NYC master drummer Billy Mintz will bring his quartet to Michelle’s Pianos to send the Portland Jazz Workshop off on her maiden voyage. The Portland Jazz Workshop is a musician run collective dedicated to supporting and promoting live jazz. Concerts, educational outreach, and community involvement are all part of the mission of this fledgling organization.

The Billy Mintz Quartet features NYC based drummer Billy Mintz, pianist Roberta Picket, bassist Putter Smith and Portland’s own John Gross on tenor saxophone. Do not miss this chance to hear four musicians who, over the course of decades of playing together, have evolved a truly unique sound as a group.
