Christopher Brown Quartet "80's Rewind and Unwind" at Jimmy Mak's

As the youngest son of Mel Brown, Christopher Brown has returned to Portland after having been a long-time resident and player on the NYC scene, bringing an approach to music that’s best described as a type of refined musical grittiness that’s specifically indicative of NYC.

Chris has found a kinship between John Nastos (sax), Greg Goebel (piano), and Dylan Sundstrom (bass) who are more than capable of helping him to present such a musical product to his growing Portland audience.

“Rewind and Unwind” will center around the raw/immediate emotional impact of the rock and R&B music of the 80’s, tempered by the sophistication that jazz music has to offer.
