Two time Grammy nominee, and a multiple winner of Downbeat Magazine's Critic's & Reader's polls, Joey DeFrancesco, the world's pre-eminent Hammond Organ player joins us for another smoking show.
Joey has put together a new collaboration with long-time friends and musical brothers Ramon (drums) and Tony (bass) Banda, Jose "Papo" Rodriguez (percussion) , Steve Cotter (guitar) , and Steve Wilkerson (tenor sax). The result is a blend of Joey's signature Hammond sound, with Latin rhythms, R&B, and straight-ahead jazz.
The Latin influences come straight from the masters, with Ramon, Tony, and Jose having spent extensive time performing and recording with Poncho Sanchez and Arturo Sandoval, to name a few....
