Tenor saxophonists Lee Wuthenow and David Evans began playing together in the
mid-nineties. They always thought it would be fun to put a band together, and finally did for a concert in Bend, Oregon in the summer of 2008.

David arranged a book based on the great saxophonic partnership of Al Cohn and Zoot
Sims, and invited Dave Frishberg, who was the pianist on many of the Al and Zoot recordings Evans transcribed. The band was a big hit and too much fun to just play once, so since then they have reconvened for several enjoyable shows. Tom Wakeling on bass and Charlie Doggett on drums complete the lineup, delivering just the right combination of musical brilliance and forbearance. ...
