Charlie Jennison has been active in the Seacoast Area music scene since 1964, when his father retired from the Navy and moved back to the family farm in Lee, NH. A graduate of the University of New Hampshire, Charlie has played keyboards and sax in several local bands and is currently lead alto with the Seacoast Big Band, for which he writes and arranges. A student of jazz pianist Tommy Gallant, Charlie has participated in many sessions at the Press Room in Portsmouth, including the Tuesday night jam with Larry Garland, to whom the June 9th performance is dedicated. Charlie’s set list includes several of Larry’s favorite tunes, including “Weaver of Dreams,” written by Victor Young.
