Ben Powell at Shalin Liu Performance Center

Jazz violinist extraordinaire Ben Powell performs at the Shalin Liu Performance Center, Rockport, MA on Sunday, September 23 at 5 p.m.

Powell, whose CD "New Street" is earning wide acclaim, came from his native UK to Berklee at the suggestion of Boston Pops Conductor Keith Lockhart, who has this to say about Powell:

"In this sort of position you come across hundreds of aspiring musicians, thousands of aspiring musicians, and often they'll want something from you. But Ben was number one, so unassuming and number two, so terribly talented."
