The media renown bassist Christopher Dean Sullivan has shared the stage and/or recorded with Archie Schepp, Sheila Jordan, Yusef Lateef, Freddie Hubbard, Christian McBride, Carl Grubbs, Irene Reid, Charli Persip, Odean Pope, Henry Grimes, Joe McPhee to name a few. Christopher’s discography is varied, covering 45’s, albums and CD’s. Christopher Sullivan has appeared in TV commercials and movies as well as photo shoots for magazines, such as Vanity Fair with Grammy Award winner Janet Jackson, as well as, received various New York State community and arts services, municipal, congressional, NYS Assembly Merit, and Senate Proclamation awards, as well as the New York State Arts Council’s Champion for the Arts Award of Orange County. Chris is currently working on his debut CD. The release will be trio based, with Mala Waldron, daughter of Mal Waldron and Bobby Sanabria. There will be mostly originals with an Oliver Nelson composition and spoken word. Release is due early spring 2013.
